The AP Human Geography covers the use of spatial concepts and landscape analysis in order to examine human organization of space; examining spatial relationships at different scales; and implementing the use of a variety of geographic tools, including but not limited to maps, aerial photographs, satellites images, data sets, and geographic models.
The exam is broken into two sections: a 60-minute multiple -choice section and a 75-minute free-response section.
Each section accounts for half of the student’s exam grade. The exam is scored on a 5 point scale, with any student scoring a 3 or above is considered at least “qualified" to receive college credit for their performance.
